This week marked an important milestone for The Teller’s Table, as we opened the doors for the first time.
Tuesday and Wednesday saw two soft launches, welcoming friends, family and close supporters into the restaurant ahead of our official launch on Thursday to trial brunch, lunch and dinner. These early services gave our team the opportunity to put the finishing touches in place, refine the flow of service, uncover any teething issues and bring the space to life in front of its first guests.
Working to a tight renovation deadline, it has truly been all hands on deck to transform the Old Bank into its next chapter. New features sit comfortably alongside retained details from the building’s past, while the Stephen James Inns' stamp can be felt throughout - in the kitchen, at the bar, and in the welcome at the door.
From final lighting adjustments to menu tweaks and table settings, the days leading up to launch were a collective effort. The kitchen found its rhythm, the bar poured its first drinks, and the dining rooms began to feel as they were intended: full of conversation and energy.
Thursday marks the official launch - a moment to pause, look around, and appreciate what the team has achieved. Months of planning, renovation and preparation culminated in an evening that felt both celebratory and reassuringly calm.
We are immensely proud of everyone who helped bring this project to life. From contractors and designers to chefs, front of house and behind-the-scenes support, it has been a genuine team effort.
Teller’s Table is now officially open.
We look forward to welcoming guests for brunch, daytime dining and evenings at the table - and to seeing this new chapter in St Ives unfold.
